Tulsa Airports Improvement Trust

A Safe, Efficient, Self-Supporting Airport System

Tulsa Airports Improvement Trust (TAIT) administers, manages and operates Tulsa International Airport and R.L. Jones, Jr. Airport. TAIT’s property is convenient to  the citizens of the Tulsa metropolitan area and surrounding region.

Tulsa International Airport is located near three highways and is a short commute for anyone in the Tulsa metro area. The airport is served by Tulsa Transit bus 203, west toward downtown and south toward Memorial and 31st Street.

A Strategic Home to both Aviation and Non-Aviation Industries

With a total of 4,000 acres that are centrally located and easily easily accessible by a multi-modal transportation network, this prime location continues to offer excellent business opportunities.  It is home to warehouse, office, and ramp space to a variety of businesses needing airfield access, such as aerospace manufacturing, supply, and distribution.

A Skilled and Educated Workforce

TAIT continues to attract, support and provide opportunities for qualified professionals in finance, marketing, engineering, building maintenance and IT.

Initiatives Available

Tulsa International Airport Development Trust currently has five separate Tax Increment Financing (TIF) Districts — two include sales tax and ad valorem, and the rest are only ad valorem.  The TIF dollars alone are able to off-set the lease rate for the land offered by TAIT.

Home to Major Employers

Tulsa International Airport is home to Tech Ops – Tulsa, American Airlines’ largest base maintenance facility in the world. Tech Ops – Tulsa is home to more than 5,500 team members and conducts nearly half of the airline’s overall maintenance work. Other major employers include Spirit Aerosystems, and L3Harris.
