Manufacturing Center for Workforce Excellence

Tulsa's Future is one of nine Oklahoma entities certified as a Center for Workforce Excellence by the Oklahoma Department of Commerce. Centers for Workforce Excellence are certified, localized collaborations that meet and exceed superior workforce development standards under the department's Oklahoma Works Together program, a statewide strategic economic development framework. Certified organizations provide a point of contact within each identified region and serve existing and prospective employers’ workforce needs by coordinating resources and services.

As a Center for Workforce Excellence, we will build upon existing partnerships within the manufacturing industry ecosystem and prioritize three strategic areas.

We will focus on the future workforce skills needed to enable manufacturers in our region to improve their processes and products that are aligned with the integration of an advanced manufacturing approach.
We will work to increase and target the development of virtual and blended learning as the vehicle for equipping the workforce with the future skills needed.
We will work to increase collaboration within our region to address and promote equitable access to skill and career development that includes minority populations with employment challenges.
