Turkey Mountain Urban Wilderness Area

Turkey Mountain is 300-acre area of undeveloped land with 45 miles of exceptional hiking and mountain biking trails, a mere seven miles from downtown.

Tallgrass Prairie Preserve

The John H. Williams Tallgrass Prairie Preserve is the largest (39,650 acres) protected remnant of tallgrass prairie left on earth. It’s open to the public and offers exceptional birding, hiking and other nature-related activities.

Oxley Nature Center

Mohawk Park
